Hamilton Gardens offers panoramic views of both the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountain ranges with well groomed .5 and 1 mile woodland trails down to the shoreline of Lake Chatuge. Hamilton Gardens is a member of the Georgia Native Plant Society as well as the American Horticultural Society - offering visitors a botanical array of native azalea, dowood, trillium, wildflowers and rhododendron. In fact, more than 200 varieties of rhododendron make it the largest collection in the Southeastern United States. Be sure to visit Hamilton Gardens in full bloom during the annual Rhododendron Festival: mid April to early May!
