Welcome to The Brown Bear Cabin!

Make great memories at this beautifully decorated, perfectly appointed, family & dog-friendly cabin rental in historic Lakemont! Only a two-hour drive from Atlanta and 15 minutes away from Tallulah Falls and Clayton. We have four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a hot tub, a game room and can accommodate up to eight guests.

With plenty of room to relax over two floors, our cozy cabin boasts an open floor plan, knotty pine ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and breathtaking, unobstructed mountain views, all year round! Prepare anything from full-course meals to game night snacks in the well-equipped, full kitchen. Dine together indoors or outside on our furnished deck where you'll also find a gas firepit, Bluetooth speakers for enjoying your favorite tunes, and a gas grill for amazing summertime cookouts, all while having the mountains as your backdrop!

Back inside, warm up by the wood burning fireplace in the living room, pick out a movie from the DVD library or watch a favorite show on the flatscreen TV. Then the fun continues downstairs, where you'll find an additional living room with a flatscreen TV, an electric fireplace, a minibar with a minifridge and Keurig coffee maker, a karaoke machine, and a brilliant game room with air hockey, dartboard, game table, tabletop arcade machine, and an awesome selection of board and card games. You'll also find an additional furnished deck on this level, that includes a hot tub with a view, a Bluetooth speaker, a porch swing and a balcony bar top!

When it’s time to end your day and relax, our cabin offers four cozy bedrooms all with USB-equipped alarm clocks and lamps, or useful charging stations. The lower-level bedroom features a desk and chair, while the remaining three bedrooms are located on the main level of the home, two of which feature French door access out to the upper deck.

On the front of the house, there is a paved driveway with parking for up to four vehicles, firewood for those cold days and nights, and outdoor games, including giant Jenga and a cornhole set!

If all of this wasn't enough, we love our own dogs and welcome yours as well! With crates, blankets, beds and even an outdoor doggie relief area with doggie bags, they will be able to enjoy your escape to the mountains just as much!

Historic Lakemont is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and just 15 minutes away from the Tallulah Gorge State Park and the city of Clayton, and 25 minutes away from Black Rock Mountain State Park. Nearby activities include:
