Halloween Haunted Hike at Smithgall Woods State Park in Helen
Oct. 19, 2024, 5-7:30 p.m.: Take a spooky hayride up to Martins Mine Trail and hike as you learn about the haunted history of North Georgia's gold rush. Martins Mine Trail is a moderate 1.7 miles, and the hike will be done during dusk (flashlights are provided).

Oct. 25-26, 2024, 6-10 p.m. & Oct. 27, 5-9 p.m.: Experience the mystery of a guided night hike or a haunted quest during the 39th Annual Halloween Hikes. Take part in world music, crafts, campfire, and festival fun. It’s the perfect non-scary alternative to traditional Halloween events for all ages. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Wild Rumpus Parade & Spectacle in Athens
Oct. 26, 2024, 8 p.m.: All are invited to dress in costume and march in the parade in downtown Athens.
