Wild Mustang Ranch

Wild Mustang Ranch(WMR) is a passion project capturing the spirit of the Wild American Mustang. The 90 acre ranch is located in Lyons, Georgia and operates as a rehabilitation sanctuary for wild mustangs; bridging the gap between holding facilities and forever homes. WMR is also an equine assisted coaching facility offering both private and public clinics/events throughout the year.

Nearly all of the horses on the ranch are Wild American Mustangs which have been temporarily or permanently adopted through "Bureau Of Land Management" auctions or similar events. Part of the WMR work involves training and taming these adopted wild horses so that they can be at peace in their new life. Many of the adopted mustangs find a permanent home at Wild Mustang Ranch, while others will be adopted to other loving forever homes. WMR also specializes in Equine-Assisted Coaching which works with both the wild mustangs and a handful of domestic horses. Participants in the coaching get to experience the power of connecting with horses to discover the hidden tensions, tendencies and potentials within us. Horses are naturally gifted teachers, having acquired a very sharp sense of awareness in their millions of years of evolution. Horses can immediately perceive a human being's overall energy and will react to this energy accordingly. This reaction and response provides excellent feedback for humans to learn from, helping them become better communicators (verbally & non-verbally), leaders, partners and overall persons. 

WMR Equine Assisted Coaching is available in a variety of forms and types throughout the year:

WMR "Basic Clinics" are three day clinics that offer a full schedule of personalized coaching with profound impacts. Over the course of 3 days, participants will learn to work with/through the horses in order to gain their respect and trust. Through this trust and respect, a connection is formed between horse and human that has long lasting value for both. The WMR Basic Clinic involves both individual and group work, including time in the pastures with the mustang herds as well as one-one-one work in the roundpen with horses that have been selected by the WMR team according to a participant's personality type, needs, etc. Time with the herd offers ample time for observation and reflection, while the work in the roundpen is the chance to put observation into action. All of the exercises and sessions result in a somatic experience- meaning that the experience will have a more profound and lasting value. 

WMR "Saturday On The Ranch" is an abridged version of the Basic Clinic, allowing participants to experience the profound effects of working with horses through group and individual sessions (both with the Mustang Herds and with individual horses in the roundpen). Both the Basic Clinic and Saturday On The Ranch are wonderful for horse experts and novices alike. 

WMR also hosts private equine assisted coaching sessions for individuals or groups, specializing in areas such as Golf Performance Coaching and Leadership Coaching. For those interested in any of the WMR Equine-Assisted Coaching Programs, please reach out directly. 

Other activities and events, such as "Golf On The Ranch" can be found on the Wild Mustang Ranch website, and are a fun, family friendly way for guests to enjoy some time on the ranch, as well as offering a relaxed environment to learn more about the history of Wild American Mustangs.

WMR is first and foremost a sanctuary for Wild American Mustangs. All of the work offered through WMR ensures the ability to give more wild horses the opportunity to live their best life. Anyone who is able to participate in the events and coaching offered through WMR is directly contributing to the well being of Wild American Mustangs. 

Wild Mustangs were/are an essential part of the USA's history, and horses in general share a special bond with human beings that dates back many millennia. Preserving, sharing, and growing this history and bond is at the heart of Wild Mustang Ranch.
