Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is one of the oldest surviving public cemetery/parks in the United States. Terraced hills overlook the Ocmulgee River. Many famous Macon citizens are interred here, including 600 Civil War soldiers and Southern rock 'n roll legend Duane Allman.
