2027 Trout Trot 5K

The Burra Burra on the River Trout Trot 5K is the first of three 5Ks as part of the Riverwalk Run Series, America’s only two-state 5K series! Join us on Saturday, April 24th at 6:30 PM and run two states in McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee.

This scenic 3.1-mile course follows the Toccoa (Ocoee) River and crosses the historic steel bridge connecting the two states, offering runners and walkers a one-of-a-kind experience in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Held alongside Blue Ridge Trout Fest, the event celebrates the region’s rich fishing heritage and vibrant outdoor culture. Participants are encouraged to turn race weekend into a mountain getaway, with access to local dining, shopping, live music, and outdoor recreation throughout the Copper Basin.

All participants receive a race shirt and finisher medal, with awards for top finishers and age groups. Participants completing all three races earn a special challenge award.

Whether you’re a runner, walker, or visitor, the Trout Trot offers a unique way to experience North Georgia and Southeast Tennessee in the spring.
