Unleash your creativity during one of the most unique art classes in North Georgia! Painting with Primates combines an instructor-led painting workshop with an unforgettable chimpanzee sanctuary experience. Perched atop one of Project Chimps' chimpanzee habitats, you'll create your own masterpiece while enjoying stunning views of the sanctuary and the chimpanzees below. No artistic experience is necessary. We'll provide everything you need, including an easel, canvas, paints, brushes, and all other supplies.
Each class begins with a guided walk to the painting location, led by a Project Chimps volunteer. Along the way, you'll learn about the sanctuary and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about our chimpanzee residents. Once settled in, local art instructor, Nikki Smith, will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting for the day.
