New Archery and Air Rifle Range Unveiled at Unicoi State Park & Lodge

State-of-the-art 15,000 square-foot facility features three practice ranges

for travelers and local residents; instruction available

Atlanta, Ga. – July 24, 2017 – Coral Hospitality-GA, LLC recently debuted a new Archery and Air Rifle Range at Unicoi State Park & Lodge, the latest outdoor adventure activity as part of the property’s Adventure Lodge program, which is focused on offering safe and innovative family-friendly adventure attractions. The new shooting facility includes three different styles of practice ranges for visitors, including Air Rifle, 3-D Archery and Static Archery.

The 15,000 square-foot facility at Unicoi State Park & Lodge features three practice ranges:

Air Rifle Range (pictured right) – A covered ten-lane range with target cables at a distance of 10 meters that is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible.
3-D Archery Range – Experience shooting multiple three-dimensional animals, from prehistoric beasts to popular game and mythical creatures of different sizes and shapes at ground or tower level.
Static Archery Range – Five covered practice lanes of varying distances that are ADA accessible.

The Archery and Air Rifle Range at Unicoi State Park & Lodge is now officially open to the public. Priced at $5 per person for the day or an annual pass at $50 per person, visitors can bring their own equipment and enjoy recreational shooting in a safe, affordable environment. Air rifles of .22 caliber or lower are allowed on the range; broadhead arrows or crossbows are prohibited.

On-site instructional classes are offered by certified archery and air rifle instructors. Guests may choose either an archery or air rifle two-hour class for $25, or a combined 3.5-hour instructional class for $45. Classes include all necessary gear, a safety and informational overview and an open shooting session.

Unicoi State Park & Lodge features a variety of guest accommodations, including a number of guest room and suites, several unique one- to three-bedroom barrel cabins, deluxe lakeside cabins, and 84 campsites ranging from walk-in private and group sites to locations with camper-ready conveniences. In addition to the new Archery and Air Rifle Range, guests can experience the high-flying Aerial Adventure Park which features 19 zip lines and several suspension bridges, paddle boarding, kayaking, fly fishing, GPS scavenger hunts, mountain biking and more.
