Located in Norwood, Barnett Methodist was organized in 1876. It took from 1874 to 1876 to build the church. The very first pastor of Barnett Methodist was Rev. Frank Farris. In 1953, the church held its very first homecoming where 500 people attended. Lawrence Battle gave the land that the church and cemetery are located on. In the cemetery, you can find a marble angel marker that was shipped from Italy and placed on his daughter Lulu’s gravesite.
