The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is a proud partner with the Georgia WWII Heritage Trail. The Trail consists of eleven sites within a three-hour drive from anywhere in the state. During WWII, Georgians answered the call, serving in the military, manufacturing bombers, building Liberty ships, maintaining aircraft, and more. At home, they supported the war effort by planting Victory gardens, collecting recyclables, buying war bonds, and living with ration books.
