MG Richardson Bed and Breakfast was built in the early 1880s after the first house burned and was home to MG "Papa Gib" and his wife "Mama Georgia." It is thought that Papa Gib was born on this property, perhaps in a preceding house that burned. The Richardsons raised their family here and continued a legacy of contributing to the community. The last of the children, M G Richardson, was born and raised in this house and the Bed & Breakfast is named in honor of him.
After years outside of the family, I was blessed to be able to acquire and restore the home. Opening a Bed & Breakfast was the best way I could think of to share the love our family shared for the home that raised three generations and now has 2 more generations to get to know the house.
Come and relax in the charm of this 150-year-old house. Enjoy the wrap-around porch, large yard, and comfortable interior rooms. Feast on the full-service breakfast served in the formal dining room each morning.
