Going Deep: Geology of the Canyon Bottom

Tuesday, Oct 14, 2025 10 AM to 11:30 AM - Cloudland Canyon State Park - Rising Fawn, GA - Explore the geologic strata of the canyon from the bottom up in this advanced look at the rocks and minerals that make up the lower part of the canyon. Meet at the Interpretive Center, then we'll drive to the lower Sitton Gulch Trailhead. This is a moderate 2-mile hike.

This is a moderate hike so remember to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
