The Rockmart History Museum is filled with treasures from the past that highlight the life and times of Rockmart, Ga. Located in the center of downtown Rockmart on South Marble Street, The Rockmart Historical Museum co-shared with The Polk County Chamber of Commerce was the first Rockmart Building designed by architect Roy Reese. Constructed in 1921, the building formerly housed the City Hall and Public Safety Offices. Buildings in the downtown area date back to 1885. You will find an abundance of historical artifacts such as a section on slate mining and the Welsh background of Rockmart, the Goodyear Mill, local family doctors, and items displayed from business and life in Rockmart through the years.
