The Welcome Center in downtown Rome allows visitors the ease of obtaining information without leaving the historic district. Inside the center, guests can attain information on everything Rome has to offer. Gifts and souvenirs sourced from Georgia's Rome Gift Shop are available for guests to purchase.
The center is located within the Rome Area History Center. Free parking is available on Broad Street for 3 hours. The 3rd Avenue Parking Deck is located behind the center, adjacent to the Town Green. Parking is free for the first hour, and then $1 per hour after.
The Welcome Center serves as an official visitor information center and is a satellite office of the Greater Rome Conventions & Visitors Bureau.
The renovations required to build the downtown Welcome Center are made possible by community supported 2013 SPLOST funds.
