Historic Preservation Society of Social Circle

The mission of the Historic Preservation Society of Social Circle is to preserve community heritage through education and conservation of our historic resources. The society is made up of a group of volunteers who are dedicated to the achievement of this mission. We host an annual tour of homes in our Historic District, sponsor educational programs such as our very popular Civil War series, and host an annual Christmas Holiday Primer featuring a visit from Father Christmas. We also help people discover their family genealogy, advise homeowners on best practices in home preservation and restoration, and, last but not least, maintain the history of our historic sites, many of which are catalogued on our website.
