The Federal Quarters

After his duel with Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr escaped to this beautiful, classic residence in St. Marys, Georgia. You can stay here, too! Elegant rooms. Period antiques. Sumptuous furnishings. The perfect place to relax and/or get out and explore Cumberland Island and the "Golden Isles," including St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island, plus nearby Florida's, Fernandina Beach, and Amelia Island. Awake in one of the three themed suites - the Aaron Burr Suite, the Winfield Scott Suite, or the Alexander Hamilton Suite with its own bath and shower. The Federal Quarters also makes an excellent event space, used for weddings, celebrations, family gatherings, anniversaries, and more.

Guests must be aware that the bedrooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator available. Accordingly, everyone in the guest's party must be physically able to safely ascend and descend the stairs to access their bedrooms. With advance notice, the Sunroom (see above) can be made available as a downstairs bedroom with its own ensuite full bath.
