Getaway’s Atlanta Outpost provides overconnected Southerners with access to 40 tiny cabins in a tranquil, yet accessible, wooded property in Suches, Georgia, also known as “The Valley Above the Clouds” due to its high elevation and scenic views of the Chattahoochee National Forest. The cabins are designed to address the ever-increasing need to achieve balance by encouraging guests to unplug from technology and focus on their surroundings, their loved ones, and themselves. Getaway offers a renewed perspective and accessible way to spend more time outside in order to restore, recharge, and enjoy the proven benefits of time spent in nature. While the guests are encouraged to try doing absolutely nothing, Getaway does offer up recommended hiking trails, simple guides dedicated to the flora and fauna in the surrounding region, games, and more—setting the scene for a unique retreat. Each cabin is intentionally designed with thoughtful elements, like the signature picture window, allowing for immersive views of the cabin’s surroundings, further encouraging guest’s physical and mental escape. Ranging from 136-200 square feet, every space includes queen size bed(s), a mini-kitchen, bathroom, and a private outdoor area with a fire pit and cooking grate. Just under a two-hour drive from the Southern capital, the Southern Outpost’s tiny cabins will be available to book in Spring 2019 with nightly rates starting at $99. All cabins are family-friendly and can also accommodate dogs for an additional fee. Cabins can be booked through Getaway’s online platform by selecting the desired outpost and dates.
