Georgia's Little River Water Trail is suitable for novice paddlers. Scenery along the river is all wild as it winds through the Clarks Hill Wildlife Management Area. The river is biologically diverse harboring numerous native fish species. There are also rocky granite outcrops, native wildlife (such as, White Tail Deer, Eastern Wild Turkey, Fox Squirrel, Wood Ducks, Turtle, Beaver, River Otter, Bald Eagle, etc…); and native trees and plants. An intimate river with a wide array of wildlife and a rich history from gold mines, Quaker settlements and Native American Indians. The trail coasts 20 miles along the McDuffie and Wilkes County lines from the Woodruff Bridge at Highway 80 to Raysville Campground on Clarks Hill Lake. Trail Map: goo.gl/gjlV1u
