Explore the farm! Hear the train whistle blow! Experience 19th century-style farm activities, from planting and harvesting to cooking, spinning and quiltmaking throughout the structures. More than 35 structures have been relocated to the 95-acre site and faithfully restored or preserved. Costumed docents share the history and lifestyle of this time as they perform daily chores and duties in the farmhouses.
Climb aboard the Vulcan Iron Works Steam Locomotive, the only steam-powered train in regular operation in the state, and enjoy the Historic Village from the seat of an open air rail car. Stroll up Main Street to the Feed and Seed store and the print shop, and visit the drug store for a root beer float.
The grounds consist of five areas: the Museum of Agriculture, an 1870s farm community, an 1890s progressive farmstead, an industrial sites complex and a rural town.
We close the month of August for a seasonal closure but will reopen on September 1st.
