Greenhow Handmade Ironworks, LLC

The owner and blacksmith of Greenhow Handmade, LLC is Patrick Blount, a full time Artist/Architectural Blacksmith and Blacksmith instructor. He started working with metal after a 10+ year career as a freelance photographer came to a close. He is a BWFA certified farrier as well as a graduate of the Virginia Institute of Blacksmithing. Patrick is the only certified Artist Blacksmith in Georgia. Patrick is also an ABANA (Artist Blacksmith Association of North America) National Curriculum Certified Instructor for Level I. He is dedicated to making extremely high quality iron work with impeccable design.Blacksmith Classes are offered most weekends and some multi-day classes are available. Many classes are beginner friendly and you do not need to bring any tools or equipment with you, all that you need is provided for you with the class. All classes are project based, so you will leave with a completed project to show off what you learned.
The shop is in a brick building from 1892 which was originally a blacksmith shop and livery in historic downtown Washington, Georgia. If you do not wish to take a class, but like to shop, there are some handmade blacksmith items for sale along with the opportunity to order custom pieces.
