Alexander Wildlife Management Area (WMA) encompasses 1,300 acres of state-owned property. The WMA consists of approximately 730 acres of loblolly pine, 390 acres of hardwood, 145 acres of fallow fields, and a 40-acre dove field. Pre-season scouting, hiking, picnicking, canoeing, and other recreational uses are allowed year-round, unless otherwise posted at the WMA check station. The main hunting opportunities here are: deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, and dove (by quota only on opening day).
