Our West Point Visitor Information Center on I-85, along a corridor known as "The Ray," is now home two newly installed state-of-the-art technologies that are both "firsts" in the United States. Visitors will find Wattway drive-over solar panels that turn ordinary highways into power producers, and the WheelRight drive-over tire safety system. This project puts the spotlight on the power of collaboration between private industry, philanthropy and government in Georgia.
We have 9 state Visitor Information Centers located throughout Georgia, located along our Interstate highways as you enter Georgia. Our centers are open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for information services. Restrooms are open daily 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. We close our centers for these three holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
