Stargazing New Moon Hike

Friday, Apr 17, 2026 7 PM to 8 PM - Fort Yargo State Park - Winder, GA - Join us for a galactic guided night hike perfect for those who love to do some stargazing. We'll take a more challenging mile hike out to the rocky point near the fishing area. Once there, we'll take advantage of the darkness of the new moon to observe and reflect on all the cosmos has to offer that night. Great for a first-time stargazer.

Pets are not recommended. Closed toe shoes, water bottles and flashlights are recommended. Register in advance. Meet at the Visitor Center.
