Buckhead
Fondly referred to by locals as “The Real Town of Buckhead,” this quaint town of just 200 people is a world away from Atlanta’s more famous Buckhead neighborhood. Established in 1908 along the railroad, Buckhead has evolved into a peaceful retreat near Lake Oconee. Making up the northwest coast of Georgia’s Lake Country, Buckhead features two marinas and the renowned Steffen Thomas Museum of Art.
