Meridian

Meridian, a small community 7 miles north of Darien, serves as the gateway to Sapelo Island. Before boarding the ferry to the barrier island, stop in the Sapelo Island Visitor Center to learn about the Reynolds legacy, the University of Georgia Marine Institute research, Gullah Geechee culture and history of the area.
